A New Year, A New Me and A New blog

Hi guys,

So, I want to try something new with this blog site by mixing up the content that I post on this site. I want to start including more of a lifestyle side to my blog posts as it is something that I am passionate about. I obviously will continue with the photography in the blogs but I want to take this blog down a new path with the new year. I also feel that it would be much easier for me to create content if it is under more of a wider genre. I feel like with the new year adding more to this blog would allow me to invest much more time into the blogs as at this moment in time I am struggling to create content which I am completely content putting on to the internet.

When I started this blog, I had started it for my EPQ (extended-project qualification) but I recently dropped out of the EPQ as work was piling up and I was quickly falling behind. So, I decided that I would rather do three subjects and excel instead of doing four and dropping grades in the three more important ones. Especially with the EPQ not being recognized at the universities I am applying to. But don’t worry I am continuing with the blog it will now just be because I want to do it and will also mean that I don’t have to just stick to photography. I have also completely gone the opposite way with what I am applying for at university as you know I was going to apply for civil and structural engineering well I’m not anymore, I am now dead set on applying for film and television production/media studies. This is I feel more something that I view myself doing in the future. I know that if I went into civil and structural engineering that I would only enjoy it for at the most the first two to three years but with film I feel like I can do this for the rest of my life because I know that this is something that I would enjoy and I would be fully committed.

At this stage in their lives they should be relaxing and enjoying what they have not working their butts off to put me and my brothers through education. I also feel with an apprenticeship my parents are going to be able to focus on my younger brother and I can easily support myself and they can also support themselves. I am not saying that we don’t have money it’s just that my parents have spent it on putting us through private education instead of buying us every gadget on the planet. This has also taught us to be grateful for what we have been given as my parents have always valued education. My dad always said that if you have a good education and are continuously working hard now then life will be ten times easier later because you will be secure enough to support yourself. Education is the key to life.

20170113_155339Other than this I am currently in my final year of school and can’t wait for the next stage of my life because up until now all I have known is school. This past Christmas/winter break I went to Saudi Arabia but that is going to be in a separate blog post so I’ll stop typing about that now. So, since I came back I have been swamped with work and am fiercely trying to catch up with all the homework due or in my case right now overdue. Luckily for me though my teachers were nice and understanding and therefore have allowed me to have an extended deadline as I did find out after everyone else what the work due was. With maths I am lucky that they started a module which I covered last year in physics for once in my life I feel clever. One thing that I am gutted about is that I haven’t been able to do any baking lately and so I wish I could do more this year especially once the academic year is through.

snapchat-1748784081-copyAlso, another thing I am keen to start once I am done with the academic year is a job so that I can have at least a little bit of money coming in and then I don’t have to ask my parents for the money. I know that my dad doesn’t want me to work just yet but I feel like I am ready and in need of at least a part-time job. I am however currently volunteering for the British Heart Foundation and as much as I love it they’re with all the other lovely volunteers I need a somewhat stable job which I can be earning a decent wage from. So currently that is everything I must type about. Hopefully my next blog won’t be too long from know I hope to at least try to post once a month but I can’t make any promises. As sometimes I’ll post twice a month whereas others I may not even post.

Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed this blog post and also comment down below on what you thought about this post. My next blog should be a good one keep your eyes peeled for it when ever I decide to post it. In the mean time if you would like to check out my previous blog posts feel free to explore.

  2. Your photography is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
I came here to thank you for the follow and the connection which enables me to read more of your blog. But I am mesmerised by the images and your talent. The rooftops really resonate with me. I look out on to rooftops from my bedroom and am fascinated. This has led me to writing a few poems about them. So thank you for the connection. It’s lovely to meet you!
